@m4ster017 while the lakers have a chance, i just think theyre bench is too void of talent, but well see, as for the nuggets, theyve beaten alot of formidable opponents and are tough to beat, they are a serious contender, they have everything you need to be one, a great PG, they got TWO!! a great bench, theyre second unit would be a serviceable starting lineup, and a great center in Nene, plus they play like a team and no player is demanding the ball..
@HKISfreak1 I’m not exactly comparing the 2 teams, I’m just saying that a team may win lots of games in the reg season, but it doesn’t mean they are going to take care of business in the playoffs. This is what I see in Denver. And yes, lakers ARE a contender, they have the talent (and kobe) and it won’t be long before they get help to their bench.
@m4ster017 LOL why would compare the spurs and the nuggets? they are talented all across the board and they have the deepest roster in the NBA, galinari and lawson are their stars and they will do fine, lakers with their lack of depth are not a contender..
im sorry but the clippers are WAY WAY WAY overrated. Deandre Jordan is overrated as a defender, all he can dois shot block, he’s not asgreat as people think. And Blake Griffin is the most overrated player in the league. He can’t play defense, shoots 50% from the line, and while he’s immensely gifted, his offensive game is far from polished. I say they are barely contenders because of having the best PG in the league, and experience in Billups, but no way they contend seriously this year
@shaq3334 Oh come on, don’t give me this “out of shape” bullsh*t. The Mavs are just fine, and the Haywood/Mahinmi combo has proven to be a pleasant surprise. Also, Marion is playing at a high level offensively and defensively. Odom just had a great game a couple nights ago and Dirk should start playing great coming back from rest/injury. LA does have a bench, what is killing them is the bench’s lack of production and not-so-good post play. But they will come around. You just wait.
@m4ster017 Arguing with you is like arguing with a 5 year old that likes to eat sand. LA has absolutely no bench and Dallas has lost any sort of toughness that they had that helped them win last year, not to mention there out of shape. The Nuggs are proving now that star power isnt everything its cracked up to be. And has far has your “no experience” argument, thats beyond flawed so do some research before you start running yo mouth
@shaq3334 Ok, well first off, it is EARLY in the season. There’s no way i’m putting LA and Dallas below the overrated Nuggets at this point. Will they make playoffs: maybe. Contenders: NO. The playoffs are a whole different story and when I see their roster I really don’t see ANYTHING; no experience and no starpower that a team NEEDS in playoffs. They would get steamrolled.
@m4ster017 Are you serious, your comparing the old guys, the spurs to the now nuggets, that has to be the most naive statement iv heard. With espically the way the Mavs are playing how in the world you dont see the nuggs has contenders is beyond me.
Haha the Nuggets are NOT a contender. Just think of the Spurs of last season. They won all those regular season games but we all knew they wouldn’t do sh*t in the playoffs. There’s no way Denver will be able to play with the likes of OKC, LAC, Dallas, and maybe even Memphis. And btw, the Lakers are still a contender…they just need to make a trade or get hot.
