@dumasbj Not true, it seems that way because we see too many highlights of guards dunking, but it actually requires a lot of athleticism. If you’re 6’2, you probably have a standing reach of around 90 inches on your toes if you have an average wingspan. That means that to touch the rim you’d need a 30 inch vertical, and to dunk you might need a 35 inch vertical, which is the same as Blake Griffin’s. The average vert in the NBA is only 28 inches. So yes, it’s something special.
